There can be different reasons the plugin gives you this message. Usually this happens when users does not enter the proper keys for Invisible reCaptcha or the communication with Google’s servers cannot be established.
The only way to bypass this is to login through FTP and delete/rename the invisible-recaptcha folder located in /wp-content/plugins. This will automatically disable the plugin and you’ll be able to login.
This happened to me, too. I installed the plugin, copied and pasted my keys, logged out and tried to log back in and got an error message that my username and password are incorrect. I deleted the plugin in my CPanel and repeated the process with the same result. The Recaptcha symbol is showing on the login page when I try to login. I’m using Google Authenticator. Could that be an issue?
Did you manage to resolve this issue, I have the same problem. I have invisible recaptcha successfully running on couple of my sites and it is working as expected, but when I try to activate it on a few new sites last week, I’m getting “Invalid username or incorrect password!” error message each time after I activate and set up plugin.
I am having the same issue on one of my sites, it seems to be something recent. The recaptcha badge shows and the challenge displays, but the “Invalid username or incorrect password!” error message displays regardless of what I enter.
